Beating other outstanding candidates in FPT “Trang” (Contest finding the best employee who has leadership skill), Mr. Nguyen Quoc Luc, CIO and CTO FPT Retail, achieved the highest prize and become the champion. The runner-up is Mr. Bui Quang Hung (FPT Education) and Mai Trong Kha (FPT Telecom).
FPT Trang was launched in 1998. FPT’s first champion was Mr. Hoang Viet Anh, General Director of FPT Software. Up to now, FPT has champion honored “Trang”. These three extraordinary contestants will be honored in FPT Year-End Party in 2017.
Especially, this is the 3rd consecutive year that FPT Retail claims the highest position this contest. Accordingly, Chu Quang Huy, Director of E-Commerce Center, was the champion in 2015. In 2016, Nguyen Do Quyen, Director of We Love FPT Project. In 2017 got the highest score, and currently, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Luc, CIO, and CTO is the incumbent champion.

FPT Technology Council held meetings periodically to discuss policies, technology directions as well as synergy, project implementation between the subsidiaries in FPT.
Mr. Nguyen Quoc Luc is also a member of the FPT Technology Council , including CTO , CEO of FPT member companies, including FPT Le Hong Viet (CTO FPT), Vu Anh Tu (Vice Director of FPT Telecom), Tran Thanh Hai (CTO of FPT Telecom) Dao Gia Hanh (Deputy CTO), Tran The Trung (Director of FPT Research Institute), Tran Huy Bao Giang (CTO FPT Software), Nguyen Phuong Hoang (Deputy General Director and CTO of Sendo), Ngo Manh Ha (CTO of FTG), Dinh Le Dat (CEO of ANTS), Tran Huu Duc (CEO of VIISA), Nguyen Ngoc Minh (Deputy Head of Technology Department).
If you are told a word about the champion this year, then you can name it “Gentle Trang”, which means he the gentle champion. Mr. Luc is gentle but very decisive, with many initiatives, full of determination to get things done. In the interview, he shared: “He is in nature a technical guy, and focus to accomplish the product.“. According to President Truong Gia Binh, he was so impressed with Nguyen Quoc Luc’s words:“The more challenging the job, the more interesting it is.” That is the pioneering spirit that FPT needs in each of its employees.
About the current job, he shared FPT Retail received support for research solutions from the Department of Technology Corporation. The company is ready to test the solutions so that it can pack the products. It is the mobilization of forces to move faster.
Joined FRT in 2013, with the knowledge, experience available, the same enthusiasm of youth, so far he always devoted himself to FRT. Throughout four years of FRT, experiencing many different positions is a valuable thing. FRT is an excellent working environment. He does not only have a chance to do a lot of work, learns experience through the big projects but with him, FRT is more than that. It is also a big family, where he has countless happy memories that he cannot forget.
The fact that he came to FRT was also totally a grace. He received the recommendation from the corporation, after discussing with Ms. Diep – General Director, she was sharing FRT’s goals, he found very challenging and attractive and took the challenge. (See also: HERE)
