On May 3 in Ho Chi Minh City, FPT Corporation had signed digital transformation co-operation agreements with Vietnam’s 3 largest wood associations, including Handicraft and Wood Industry Association of Ho Chi Minh City (HAWA), Handicraft and Wood Industry Association of Dong Nai (DOWA), and Binh Duong Furniture Association (BIFA).
This effort will contribute to developments in the Vietnam wood sector, all for the aim of achieving 20 billion USD in export revenue in 2025. FPT will build databases specialized for the wood processing industry, thus digitalize administration operations for the aforementioned associations and their members; as well as consult and introduce newest IT technologies and achievements.
According to FPT’s representative, the deal was signed in midst of the COVID-19 outbreak, which had severely hindered wood processing in China, and considerably impacted the global supply chain.
