In the afternoon of May 2, during the visit to FPT Corporation, Minister of Health, Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Tien, said that there are 3 urgent technological problems that need to be accelerated, namely Smart Hospital, Smart Health Care, and Intelligent Health System Administration.
According to the minister, smart hospital software needs to meet requirements such as simple procedures, reduced waiting times and open to the public; hospital management software must take up less time with better management. Intelligent Health Care Software (applied in commune health stations associative with the model of family practitioners) must be simple, easy to handle, easy to access, universal and effective. bringing satisfaction to the people.
At the meeting, the Minister and the delegation also listened to FPT technology experts presenting about solutions to the overall management of FPT.eHospital. This is the first hospital management system which applying technology 4.0 in Vietnam with many special features such as electronic medical records, remote medical examination, intelligent virtual assistant, applicable on mobile devices,… which supports management, medical examination for the hospital leaders, doctors, and patients. Recently, the FPT.eHospital’s new hospital management system developed by FPT Information System (FPT IS) has been one of four products and services that was granted the Sao Khue prize in 2018 for FPT. Besides, on the basis of practical experience, FPT also made some proposals for applying IT in the health sector.
Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of FPT Corporation, said that FPT has over 20 years in cooperation with the health sector, having deployed technology systems in more than 200 hospitals and medical facilities. Currently, with the development of 4.0 technology, FPT hopes to work with the Ministry of Health to orientate new directions for cooperation in the future.
Minister Nguyen Thi Kim Tien believed that FPT would make the more positive contribution to Vietnam in general and Health sector in particular. Particularly, in the field of health, the Minister appreciated FPT for its serious and long-term investment and extensive knowledge of the health sector, which has been closely aligned with the needs of the sector.
