Recently, FPT has participated in the project of open source operating system Automotive Grade Linux (AGL) for cars under the Linux Foundation, marking an important phase in the development of automotive technology of FPT.
With the open source operating system AGL, FPT is one of the key members with the role of contributing resources, infrastructure and knowledge to an open source ecosystem. Specifically, FPT will support the development of common technology resources such as exclusive research on automotive services and technical solutions for AGL.
In addition, FPT will also cooperate with Automotive partners to develop AGL in the fields of artificial intelligence, Machine Learning, autonomous cars, entertainment functions, safety functions, and virtual reality.

Through participating in AGL, FPT expects to boost the capacity of autonomous cars, while demonstrating its commitment to sharing initiatives, helping FPT better serve global customers and projects in the automotive field.
AGL’s Managing Director, Dan Cauchy, expressed his pleasure when a leading technology corporation in Southeast Asia like FPT joined AGL. “We look forward to the professional contribution of FPT in the automotive field,” emphasized AGL’s CEO.
Up to now, FPT has provided solutions and services to about 200 leading automobile manufacturers, OEM, Tier 1 suppliers and semiconductor manufacturers in the automotive industry. In particular, the company offers leading innovations and technical services such as smart applications, HMI, Middleware, and hardware. With resources of nearly 3,000 automotive experts and engineers, FPT is implementing solutions with process and quality according to AUTOSAR, Automotive SPICE, 3, MBD and other global standards.
